Eros Amore: The beginning

Antonio Amore, who lived in Twinbrook, was a lonely grumpy man. Frugal and workaholic, he managed to build a fortune, over the years of solitude.

The years have passed, his hair turned gray, and he was no longer able to work. It was then that he realised it might all have been in vain. He was old and the grave was the only place he couldn't take his fortune along.

He was never into donating and he sure wouldn't start now. His brother, with whom they where in no speaking terms for years, used to work for SASA (Sim Aeronautics and Space Administration) and had been researching new way to travel to space. The fool kept asking funding for years. But no, Antonio did not like dreamers. And what was the use of that reaserch anyway? Besides his brother had passed away two years ago, and Antonio wouldn't bother to fund a reaserch he never believed in, that was started by his fool dead brother, and that it was now carried on by people no one knew, under his brother's name. That would be a total waste of money. Antonio needed an heir. A son that would take the fortune and enlarge it even more.

Adoption was out of the question. It had to be a real son. His own flesh and blood. So in order to have a son, he needed to find a woman first. Not a wife, wifes were uselss money eaters, but a woman that could reproduce.

Romance was something he never cared about, but he knew one thing. He was filthy rich and he could buy anything. Even a female to bare his child.

He offered a huge amount of money to anyone who was willing to give him a son, nourish him until his first year, ask nothing else in return and never seak for the child ever again.

Veronica Mins was the perfect candidate. A fair young aspiring starlet. She lived for fortune and fame and hated children. Sleeping with an old man, baring his child and caring for it for a year, was something she had no problem doing in exchange of a big fat paycheck that would make her rich enough to get her name known. She loved the fact that she wouldn't have to care for the child ever again after she would leave it, and that the child would never know who it's mother was. She asked for one more thing though. That Antonio, would never sleep with her ever again , once the child would be concieved. Antonio agreed to this, as he didn't even care about anything that had to do with love and romance. Even pure pleasure.

On a rainy November night, Eros was born.

When Antonio first saw the child, was quite surprised and dissapointed at the same time. Eros looked exactly like his uncle. Especially his eyes.

As the years passed, the boy grew to look more and more like Antonio's fool brother. He did not remeber his mother that he was told had died in an accident when he was a baby.He clearly remembers though, a fair young face leaving him in the entrance hall, as he pleaded for her embrace.

His father insisted it was just his imagination, but he clearly could see a weird similarity between that woman in his imagination and a that famous actress that always made him sick for some reason.

Eros was not allowed to have friends , as his father suggested that they will eventually go for his money. Always alone, and mostly brought up by nannies, the boy developed a love his father despised. The stars.

What where all this twinkling lights up in the night sky? How could they be reached? And that uncle , his father rarely talked off, must have been a pretty cool guy when he was alive. He wanted to be like Yuri Simgarin one day.

Eros did not really like his father, nor his money. When he was sixteen, Antonio got sick and died two years later. Thankfully he never found out about his son's "weakness" as he would have called it. Eros's interest in women was developed when Antonio was sick., therefore he never witnessed his son's long hot dates.

Eros never revealed his plans for their "precious" fortune to his father. As soon as the funeral ended, Eros sold everything, including his father's beloved creepy mansion the family was living in for centuries, and moved to Longeview, where the SASA headquarters were located, bought himself a very modern house and started his new life, willing to make all his dreams come true.
